With a 230 millimeter clutch diameter and a robust iron pressure plate, this clutch is designed to handle increased clamp loads, providing the necessary capacity for modified engines. The organic friction material used in the clutch disc ensures resistance to slippage and burst, making it suitable for both street and light horsepower track applications.

This clutch features a sprung hub design and includes a spring center damper that reduces drivetrain shock, allowing for smooth engagement. While pedal effort may be slightly higher due to the increased clamp load, drivability remains comparable to stock clutches. The Exedy Stage 1 clutch is built to achieve a clamping load approximately 40 percent higher than standard parts, enhancing torque transmission capacity.

Additionally, the ultra-fiber organic disc material offers high heat resistance, essential for motorsport applications.
