This winch operates manually and includes a 9-1/2 inch handle length for efficient cranking. The ergonomic molded grips on the heavy duty steel handles provide comfort during use. Additionally, the permanently lubricated bearings on the drive shafts are maintenance-free, allowing for hassle-free operation. The Dutton Lainson winch also features a reversible ratchet mechanism, allowing for freewheeling when the ratchet pawl is disengaged.
