The Dexter Marine Trailer Axle features a straight axle design with a robust 2,000 pound capacity, making it suitable for small boat trailers. Its dimensions include a 51 inch hub face to face length and a 55-1/2 inch overall length, providing a reliable fit for various trailer configurations. The axle is constructed from a 2 inch galvanized square tube, ensuring longevity and resistance to corrosion, particularly in marine environments.
This axle incorporates an EZ Lube system, which simplifies the maintenance process by allowing for easy re-greasing through a zerk fitting. This design ensures that grease can be effectively pushed through the spindle chamber to the inner bearing, enhancing the overall performance and lifespan of the axle. Additionally, the axle features a stainless steel wear sleeve on each spindle, further increasing durability.
With a flange-less design and a slight camber present in the welds of the spindles, this axle is engineered for optimal performance. It also includes pre-drilled 5/16 inch drain holes to facilitate water drainage, which is crucial for maintaining the integrity of the axle in wet conditions.
