The Dexter Marine Trailer Axle features a straight axle design with a robust 1800-pound capacity, making it suitable for various trailer applications. Constructed from a 1-1/2 inch galvanized square tube, this axle is engineered to withstand harsh conditions, providing superior resistance against corrosion compared to traditional painted or powder-coated options. The hot-dipped galvanized finish ensures extended durability, particularly in water and snow environments, making it an excellent choice for marine use.
This axle includes a pre-drilled 5/16 inch drain hole, allowing for effective water drainage from the inner tubing, which helps maintain the integrity of the axle over time. The EZ Lube spindle design features a Zerk fitting at both ends, facilitating easy bearing lubrication for maintenance. Additionally, the axle is designed with a slight camber in the welds of the spindles, enhancing stability during operation.
With a hub face to hub face length of 57-1/2 inches and a total length of 62 inches, this axle is compatible with various trailer configurations. The manufacturer has drilled the spring center holes at 46.5 inches center to center, ensuring precise alignment for optimal performance. The inclusion of castellated nuts, washers, and cotter pins further enhances the reliability of this axle.
