With a gross trailer weight capacity of 4,500 pounds and a tongue weight capacity of 450 pounds, this adapter is engineered for strength and reliability. When used with a weight distribution hitch, the capacities increase significantly, allowing for a maximum of 6,000 pounds GTW and 600 pounds TW. Additionally, the adapter can be cut down from its original 34 inch length to 24 inches, further enhancing its weight carrying capabilities to 8,000 pounds GTW and 800 pounds TW when combined with a weight distribution hitch.
