The ComNav P4 Autopilot System is designed to enhance vessel steering capabilities through its Intelligent Steering Technology (IST). Equipped with a 5.7-inch color LCD display, the control head is IP67 waterproof and offers a sunlight viewable interface with a 9-level backlight. The system supports multiple interfaces including NMEA 2000, Ethernet, and NMEA 0183, allowing for seamless integration with onboard instruments and steering systems. The Proportional Rate Control feature ensures smooth steering responses, while Automatic Leeway Compensation accounts for drift, tide, and wind effects.

The ComNav P4 also includes a fluxgate compass and rotary feedback for accurate navigation. Its multi-station capability allows for operation from various locations on the vessel, and the system includes features such as adjustable yaw, turn rate, and rudder settings. With pre-defined parameter sets for different hull types, the P4 Autopilot System is versatile and adaptable to various boating needs.
