The Blue Sea Battery Voltage Sensing Relay is designed to effectively manage the charging and discharging of two large battery banks. This relay automatically combines batteries during charging and isolates them when discharging or starting the engine, ensuring reliable operation and protection for sensitive electronics. With a continuous rating of 500 Amps and the capability to handle intermittent loads of up to 700 Amps, it supports high-output alternators and is suitable for demanding applications.

Featuring a magnetic latch design, this relay draws very low current in both the ON and OFF states, with a moderate current draw only during state changes. It includes dual sensing capabilities to monitor the charge on both battery banks, enhancing the efficiency of the system. The relay can be configured for start isolation, allowing temporary disconnection of house loads from the engine circuit during cranking, which protects sensitive electronics from voltage spikes.

Additionally, the Blue Sea relay provides LED output indicators to remotely show the status of the batteries, whether they are combined, isolated, or in voltage lockout. Constructed with tin-plated copper studs for maximum conductivity and corrosion resistance, along with silver alloy contacts for high reliability, this relay is built to withstand the rigors of marine and automotive environments.
