The Blue Sea Battery Voltage Sensing Relay is designed to automatically manage the charging and discharging of two large battery banks. This relay features a magnetic latching mechanism that allows for low current draw in both the ON and OFF states, ensuring energy efficiency. With a continuous rating of 500 amperes, it supports high-output alternators, making it suitable for demanding applications.
This relay provides dual sensing capabilities, allowing it to monitor the charge on both battery banks simultaneously. It can be configured for start isolation, protecting sensitive electronics during engine cranking, and engine isolation, which maximizes alternator output while safeguarding engine electronics. The LED output indicator offers clear visibility of the relay's status, including when batteries are combined or isolated.
Constructed with tin-plated copper studs for enhanced conductivity and corrosion resistance, the relay also features silver alloy contacts for reliable switching of live loads. This robust design ensures longevity and performance in various marine and automotive applications.
