The Bilstein AS2-R Series Shock Absorber is engineered for high-performance applications, featuring a lightweight modular aluminum construction that enhances durability and precision. With an extended length of 23.17 inches and a compressed length of 15.33 inches, this shock absorber is designed to meet a variety of track conditions and driver preferences. The independent high and low compression adjusters allow for fine-tuning of the damping characteristics, ensuring consistent performance under varying conditions.
This shock absorber utilizes Bilstein's advanced reservoir technology, which includes a tunable base valve assembly for maximum versatility. The 6061 aluminum extruded body and reservoir are hard anodized to maintain tighter tolerances and resist wear. The 3-way tuning system provides high and low compression adjustments on the reservoir and rebound adjustments on the shaft, allowing for comprehensive customization of the damping settings.
The AS2-R Series also features a high-performance rod guide seal pack that exceeds original equipment quality standards, ensuring low shaft friction and reliability in harsh racing environments. Additionally, the braided stainless steel Dash 5 hose enhances oil flow and reduces hysteresis, while the modular configuration allows for easy rebuild and repair, making it a practical choice for serious racers.
