The BEP Marine Battery Disconnect Switch is designed for 48 Volt DC applications, providing a robust solution for managing battery connections. This switch features a patented Contour Locking System, allowing it to function as a standalone unit or to be locked together with other switches for enhanced versatility. The removable control knob can be easily adjusted to a counterclockwise 45-degree position for removal, and it includes an interchangeable labeling system to accommodate various applications.
Constructed with tin-plated copper studs and nuts, this switch ensures reliable conductivity and durability. It can be mounted either recessed or on the surface, requiring only a 2.1-inch hole for installation. The design includes three removable side plates that allow access for up to 1/0 cables, while the rear cover provides insulation against short circuits, meeting ABYC requirements for safety.
The BEP Marine Battery Disconnect Switch is rigorously tested according to BEP Marine Battery Switch Test Procedures (UL 1107), ensuring it can handle continuous, intermittent, and cranking currents without exceeding safe temperature limits. With a continuous rating of 275 Amps and a surge rating of 1250 Amps, this switch is engineered for reliable performance in demanding marine environments.
