The BD Diesel Differential Cover is engineered specifically for the Chrysler 10.5 Inch axle, providing superior oil management and cooling capabilities. Its unique design ensures that oil remains on the gears, significantly improving lubrication and reducing wear. The cover features an extra capacity sump located at the bottom, which nearly doubles the fluid capacity, allowing for better oil pickup by the gears.
This differential cover is equipped with both internal and external cooling fins that help dissipate heat, contributing to a cooler operation and longer component life. Constructed from durable aluminum and finished with a powder coating, it is designed to withstand harsh conditions while maintaining its integrity. The gasketless design incorporates a reusable Viton O-ring, eliminating the need for traditional gaskets and ensuring a secure seal.
Additionally, the cover includes stainless steel Allen head cap bolts for enhanced durability and ease of installation. Unlike other bulky differential covers that can fling lubricating oil off the ring gear, this design effectively deflects oil back onto the ring gear and into the pinion gear, promoting optimal lubrication and performance.
