The BD Diesel Auto Trans Valve Body is engineered to optimize the performance of the 48RE transmission. This upgrade features new valve designs, increased capacity springs, and revised oil circuits that enhance oil flow, resulting in reduced temperatures and improved clutch engagement. The optimized governor piston dimensions contribute to quicker clutch application, achieving up to 80 percent higher clutch apply pressures compared to the stock unit, and 50 percent higher than competing products.
Designed for automatic shifting with a standard shift pattern, this valve body does not include a trans brake function but does feature torque converter lock-up. The innovative design allows for increased clutch apply pressures at lower engine RPMs and lighter throttle positions, ensuring that light throttle shift firmness is maintained. This product is constructed from durable aluminum, ensuring longevity and reliability in performance applications.
