The BD Diesel Auto Trans Valve Body is engineered to significantly improve the performance and longevity of the 47RH transmission. This upgrade features a complete redesign of the stock valve body, incorporating new valve designs, increased capacity springs, and optimized oil circuits. These enhancements facilitate improved oil flow, which effectively reduces operating temperatures and minimizes torque converter evacuation time, resulting in quicker clutch engagement.
With the BD Diesel valve body, users can expect up to 80 percent higher clutch apply pressures compared to the stock unit, and up to 50 percent higher than competing products. This performance boost is achieved at lower engine RPMs and with less throttle input, ensuring that light throttle shift firmness is preserved even at elevated apply pressures. The valve body is constructed from durable aluminum, ensuring reliability and efficiency in operation.
