The Airaid MXP Cold Air Intake System is designed specifically for the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500, providing a significant boost in power and fuel economy through a straightforward bolt-on installation. This system features a newly engineered intake tube that optimizes the mass airflow (MAF) sensor location, ensuring improved airflow to the engine for enhanced performance. The intake tube connects to a one-piece roto-molded intake box that utilizes the factory cold air scoop while incorporating an additional large cold air scoop beneath the box, maximizing cold air intake.
To further protect the air filter from hot engine compartment air, the top of the airbox is equipped with blade-style weather stripping that seals against the hood. The system includes a high-capacity air filter rated at 1300 Cubic Feet Per Minute, available in both oiled composite and dry SynthaMax non-oiled filtration options. The dry filter is offered in traditional red or a new color-fast dyed blue, catering to aesthetic preferences while maintaining performance.
Installation is user-friendly, with all necessary hardware included and clear instructions provided, making it accessible for do-it-yourself enthusiasts.
