The Airaid MXP Cold Air Intake System is engineered to improve engine performance by maximizing airflow and filtration efficiency. Featuring a one-piece roto-molded cold air box, this system effectively isolates hot engine compartment air from the filter, ensuring a steady supply of cold air. The design incorporates factory cold air ducts, enhancing the overall intake efficiency.
For 5.7L Hemi V-8 engines, the system includes a large 4-inch diameter intake tube that minimizes airflow restrictions and positions the MAF sensor for optimal power and air-fuel ratios. The connection between the intake tube and the air box is facilitated by a urethane 'hump hose' and stainless steel clamps, ensuring a secure fit. In 6.4L applications, a specially formed silicone tube connects the air box to the throttle body, maintaining the integrity of the airflow path.
The Airaid MXP system is equipped with a high-capacity air filter available in oiled composite or SynthaMax dry filtration technology, providing versatility in maintenance and performance. The filter's design allows for a consistent supply of clean, cold air, which is crucial for engine efficiency. With easy bolt-on installation, this intake system is a practical upgrade for performance enthusiasts.
