The AEM Electronics 4 Port AEMnet CAN Hub is designed to facilitate the connection of multiple AEMnet CAN bus-enabled devices. This module serves as a central docking station, featuring four 4-way DTM-style housings that ensure reliable connections for AEMnet cables. It is capable of providing power to all connected devices through a single port, with a maximum current capacity of 3A, although it is not suitable for powering UEGO sensor heaters.
Users can enhance their setup by daisy-chaining two 4 Port AEMnet CAN Hubs, allowing for a total of six connected devices. Proper termination of AEMnet buses is essential, requiring termination resistors at each end of the port. AEM offers DTM-style 4-pin termination plugs to simplify this process for devices lacking integrated or selectable termination resistors.
The compact enclosure of the hub is designed for safe mounting in engine bays, boasting an IP67-rated enclosure for protection against dust and water ingress. Mounting hardware is included, making installation straightforward and efficient. This hub is an effective solution for those looking to streamline their AEMnet CAN device connections.
