The Advanced FLOW Engineering Turbocharger Intercooler Pipe is engineered to improve airflow and cooling efficiency in turbocharged applications. Traditional intercoolers often feature sharp bends and corners that create dead air zones, leading to restricted airflow and heat soak. This product utilizes Multi Directional Vanes (MDV) technology to create multiple air paths, significantly reducing dead air zones and enhancing overall airflow across the heat exchanger.
Constructed with a 3 inch thick bar and plate intercooler core, this pipe offers superior airflow and cooling compared to standard 2-3/8 inch thick tube and fin intercoolers. The billet machined inlet and outlet fittings ensure a leak-free connection, while the TIG welded aluminum plate provides high strength end tanks that outperform stock components. Additionally, the 3 inch aFe tube contributes to a notable increase in horsepower and torque, along with a 45 percent flow increase over the stock 2.5 inch tube.
The design includes four tapped 1/8 inch NPT ports for easy gauge installations and auxiliary input options, making it a versatile choice for performance enthusiasts. With its powder-coated black finish and included hose clamps and couplers, this intercooler pipe is not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing.
