The Advanced FLOW Engineering Fuel Lift Pump is designed for diesel applications, providing a flow rate of 2 gallons per minute and operating at a pressure range of 8 to 10 PSI. This pump features a built-in bypass that allows the vehicle to utilize the stock fuel pump under light loads, which minimizes wear on both the DFS780 and the stock high-pressure pump. The clear high-impact polycarbonate sight glass enables easy visual inspection of fuel levels, ensuring optimal performance.
Constructed with bronze gears, this pump is more resilient to contaminants compared to traditional steel gears, while the helical spur gear design operates more quietly than straight cut gears. The billet 6061-T6 aluminum manifold is engineered to eliminate porosity concerns associated with cast aluminum, enhancing durability and reliability. Additionally, the marine-grade motor is protected against dust and water intrusion, making it suitable for various environments.
The pump is equipped with a preset boost switch that activates the pump only under load, further reducing wear on the system. The spur gears ride on PEEK bearing surfaces, which help to minimize noise and wear over time. With contoured CNC machining of the manifold passages, flow is optimized to reduce pressure drop due to restrictions. The heavy-duty bracket allows for secure mounting to the frame using existing holes, and the included 1/8 inch NPT port provides an option for attaching an external pressure gauge to monitor fuel pressure.
