The Advanced FLOW Engineering Fuel Lift Pump is designed for diesel applications, providing a flow rate of 2 gallons per minute and operating at a pressure range of 8 to 10 PSI. This pump features a clear high-impact polycarbonate sight glass that allows for easy visual inspection of fuel, ensuring optimal performance and safety. The helical bronze spur gears are engineered to run quieter than traditional straight cut gears and are more forgiving of contaminants, enhancing the longevity of the pump.
Constructed from billet 6061-T6 aluminum, the manifold eliminates porosity concerns associated with cast aluminum, ensuring durability and reliability. The pump is equipped with a marine-grade motor that is protected against dust intrusion and powerful water jets, making it suitable for various environments. The supplied harness connects directly to the battery using Deutsch weather-proof connectors, allowing for straightforward installation without the need for cutting or modifying stock fuel lines.
The DFS780 operates in parallel with the stock fuel transfer pump and is powered by the vehicle's ignition. Its spur gears ride on PEEK bearing surfaces, which reduce noise and wear, contributing to the pump's overall efficiency. Additionally, the contoured CNC machining of the manifold passages enhances fuel flow and reduces pressure drop, while the 1/8 inch NPT port allows for the attachment of an external pressure gauge to monitor fuel pressure. O.E. quality Viton seals ensure compatibility with both diesel and biodiesel fuels.
