With a flow rate of 2 gallons per minute and a pressure rating of 12 to 18 PSI, this pump ensures optimal fuel delivery under various load conditions. The built-in bypass allows the vehicle to operate on the stock fuel pump during light loads, minimizing wear on both the DFS780 and the factory high-pressure pump.
Constructed with a clear high-impact polycarbonate sight glass, users can easily inspect fuel levels. The pump features bronze gears that are more resistant to contaminants compared to traditional steel gears, and its helical spur gear design operates more quietly than straight cut gears. The billet 6061-T6 aluminum manifold is engineered to eliminate porosity issues commonly found in cast aluminum, ensuring durability and performance.
The marine-grade motor is designed to withstand dust and water intrusion, making it suitable for various environments. Installation is straightforward, requiring no modifications to stock fuel lines, and the supplied harness connects directly to the battery using Deutsch weather-proof connectors. Additionally, the pump includes a preset boost switch that activates only under load, further reducing wear on the system.
